Mahopac's Aljan Jewelers Woo Customers With New Items For Valentine's Day

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Aljan Jewelers in Mahopac is offering a few new items for Valentine's Day.

According to Steve Wittels, a LaGrange resident who owns the business with his wife, Alice (she's the jeweler), there is always something fresh in the store to keep up with today's trends.

With Valentine's Day among their busiest times, there are also a few promotions, namely a free box of "Candy for Grownups," sweets made with various liquors inside when a customer purchases something from Endless Jewelry.

The line of 18 colored leather bracelets that, depending on the length, can also be worn as necklaces, are part of Jennifer Lopez's jewelry collection and feature an easy to use magnetic clasp. A free $30 charm is also offered with purchase.

Wittels said the two are hoping for a good Valentine's Day though it's still too early to forecast any sales projections. Aljan, in business, since 1975, will be open extended hours on Saturday to accommodate last minute shoppers.
