Among the changes: An expanded bakery department, a larger prepared meal section, a chopped salad station, hot brick oven sandwiches and pizza, expanded fresh pasta section, a new fresh mozzarella-making machine and a wider beer selection. Up next and coming soon: A juice bar.
Festivities start Friday, Dec. 8 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with plenty of free samples and activities including a visit from Santa on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. (he will give out small toys to kids in attendance). Tastings and samples start at 11 a.m. and go until 5 p.m. Saturday and until 3 p.m. Sunday.
According to John DeCicco Jr. changes were made to ensure shopper satisfaction.
"Our customer experience is paramount for us," he said. "We want our customers to enjoy coming into our stores and this remodel is part of that mission."
Added Chris DeCicco: "The way that our customer shops is constantly changing and evolving, so we need to evolve as well."
