Author Gail Carson Levine Performs Reading In Brewster

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Author Gail Carson Levine will read excerpts from her book "Transient" at the Studio Around The Corner in Brewster on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

"Transient" is a collection of poems by Levine. Her poems have appeared in the Louisville Review and the Sugar House Review, and one is forthcoming in the New York Quarterly.

Levine has just completed her MFA in poetry at New York University, and her debut collection, "Transient," was recently released by Keystone College’s Nightshade Press.

She is also a children’s book writer, best known for her novel "Ella Enchanted," which won a Newbery honor medal in 1998.
