Brewster Performs Great American Songbook

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- "American Songbook, A Stroll Down Memory Lane" with musical direction by Melissa Jones and produced by Amanda Bevacqua will be presented Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11 at the Studio Around the Corner in Brewster.

Take a stroll down memory lane with the cast of Brewster Theater Company’s spring cabaret, “The Great American Songbook”, which includes some of the most popular and enduring songs from the 1920s to the 1950s. 

Follow the evolution of American popular music through the songs of some of the greatest songwriters of all time, including Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein, George & Ira Gershwin and Johnny Mercer. 

The performance will include such songs such as “Night and Day”, “Embraceable You”, “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy."
