Putnam County Hospital Center will be honored with the Bronze Key for its exemplary contributions to alcohol prevention in Putnam County, according to a release from NCADD.
The Bronze Key is given annually to an individual or organization in the Putnam County community that recognizes the need for substance use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery, the release said.
Putnam Hospital Center is being recognized for its continuous support to NCADD Putnam and the field of alcoholism and substance abuse.
NCADD Putnam also announced that Arms Acres is the recipient of its first-ever Community Champion Award. This award recognizes an individual or organization that goes above and beyond in supporting the efforts of alcohol and substance abuse prevention and education programs in Putnam County.
“Putnam Hospital Center and Arms Acres dedication to our community has improved the quality of life in Putnam County," said Kristin McConnell, Executive Director of the National Council on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies/Putnam. "We are so pleased to be honoring organizations who contribute so much to substance abuse prevention in Putnam County."
The golf outing will be followed by a barbecue lunch, raffle and an awards presentation. Non-golfers are welcome to attend the lunch only.
The master of ceremonies will be Joseph A. DeMarzo, deputy commissioner of the Putnam County Department of Mental Health/Social Services/Youth Bureau.
