Dissect Owl Pellets at Kent Library

KENT LAKES, N.Y. -- The Kent Public Library will host teacher and author Velya Jancz-Urban, on Wednesday, Aug. 3, as she shares her most popular hands-on science class for kids, a Dissecting Owl Pellets workshop.

Students will learn that within ecosystems, complex interactions exist between organisms and the physical environment, according to a release from the library.

Each student will "take" something different from the experience, from an understanding of the food chain and circle-of-life concept to mammal anatomy, the release said.

This program is for kids in kindergarten through the fifth grade.

Registration is required. Space is limited. Guests can register for the program by clicking here or calling the library at 845-225-8585.

The workshop will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

The library is at 17 Sybil's Crossing, Kent Lakes.
