Fatal Shooting: 37-Year-Old ID'd As Victim After Incident At Party In Suffolk County

A suspect is on the run after an overnight fatal shooting at a party on Long Island.

It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday, June 25 in Wyandanch, at 83 E. Booker Ave., Suffolk County Police said.

When officers arrived, they discovered the victim in the backyard with a gunshot wound.

The man, Frederick Jackson, age 37, of Wyandanch, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.
