Historical Society Celebrates 70 Years Of Putnam Valley Fire Department

PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- The Putnam Valley Historical Society will celebrate 70 years of the Putnam Valley Fire Department starting Saturday, May 7.

The exhibit features early firefighting uniforms and equipment, along with vintage photographs and documents that reveal how the public's interest in creating a Fire Protection District became the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department.

"The Putnam Valley Fire Department 70 Years of Service: 1946 - 2016" opens at 11 a.m.
