Kent Library Audiobook Area Named for Dolores F. Kraus

CARMEL, N.Y. -- Kent Public Library has named its audiobook area in memory of past patron Dolores Kraus, who made a bequest to the library.

The library's board officially named the area the Dolores F. Kraus Memorial Audiobook Area, and it was recently dedicated, complete with a plaque. The library plans to buy many more audiobooks with the bequest funds.

Kraus was a longtime library patron who attending library programs as well. And she enjoyed audiobooks in her later years, when she had trouble with her eyesight. Audiobooks are of course not only useful to those with vision problems, but also those who use them to multitaskers: commuters, artists, gardeners, cooks and more.
