PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- In today's business and even personal world, social media profiles can make or break the image projected across the digital world. To make sure Putnam Valley residents and businesses are on top of how they are perceived, the Putnam Valley Business Network and the PV Chamber of Commerce will present "How to Wrestle Social Media's 800 lb. Gorilla -- and Win!" on Monday, Nov. 14.
The event will feature special guest speaker Lisa Kaslyn, a public relations and social content marketing expert, who will spill the beans on quick-start tactics that will help businesses and residents build their fan base, increase engagement and drive people to their website so they can convert prospects into new customers.
Officials with the organizations said that in the world of social media, Facebook is the boss and it has risen in the ranks as a search engine in its own right and businesses that ignore it will lose in the search engine wars.
The event will run from 6-8:30 p.m. at the VFW Post 391, 154 Oscawana Lake Road. Dinner and networking are included. For reservations, email President@PVBusinessNetwork.org .
