A free reception open to the public will be held at the library Thursday, Aug. 6 from 6-8 p.m.

One of the 14 works featured in the exhibit is “Falling into Hope Storyboard,” one of several works in the "iterations" exhibit, began with a painting of leaves created by Charlotte Berwind. Over the course of several months, this work was transformed by five other artists, resulting in a final piece that illustrates the transient nature of art.

“iterations” is body of art created by Charlotte Berwind, Christopher Staples, Claudine Mussuto, Georgine Honohan, Joann Zwolski and Laura Paradiso, through a mail-based exchange over a six-month period. Thirty paper canvases were circulated among the six artists in a round-robin alphabetical sequence based on first names. The artwork was mailed or hand-delivered on the 15th of each month from July through Nov. 2014.

The artwork can be viewed during library hours Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
