Carmel's Scoops N' More Is Winner In DVlicious Putnam Ice Cream Contest

CARMEL N.Y. -- Just in time for Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day (it's Wednesday, July 1) and the Fourth of July weekend, Scoops N' More in Carmel has been named "Best Ice Cream in Putnam County" by you -- our Daily Voice readers.

The DVlicious contest has been going on since June 4, with ever-changing results, including a close call between Scoops N' More, the ultimate winner, with 41 percent of the vote, and Cold Spring's Cupoccino Cafe, with 31 percent.

The family-owned eatery, located at 88 Gleneida Ave., will be receiving a DVlicious certificate as well as "last licks" on beating the competition. Click here for previous Daily Voice story.
