To combat the annual issue of potholes and to keep roads safe and smooth, the City of Danbury has hired Patch Management Inc. to fill potholes across town.
Also known as the “Pothole Killers," the company uses a unique truck-mounted asphalt spray machine that drives on roadways and fills potholes within minutes.
“Last year, the Pothole Killer’s operations and capabilities proved to be unmatched,” said Mayor Mark Boughton. “We are fortunate to bring them back on a two-week subcontract and help solve this issue for our residents and roads after the long winter.”
The work began Monday and will continue for approximately two weeks. In addition to the pothole killers, the Public Works Department will continue their consistent pothole management throughout the city, the Mayor said.
