Get Ready To Get Your Hands Dirty At Carmel's Nothern Smoke BBQ

CARMEL, N.Y. -- For meat lovers, there's nothing like a good barbecue joint. Burnt ends. Tender falling-off-the-bone ribs. Fatty morsels of brisket. A drip-worthy sauce.

Northern Smoke BBQ, Carmel

Cue the Beef: Owner and Pitmaster Chris DeRuzzaI, a Culinary Institute of America grad, personally ensures Northern Smoke's cuts are hand butchered and freshly smoked in batches throughout the day.

The menu is a crowd-pleaser,  everything from pulled pork tacos to a brisket wrap, chicken quesadilla, rib platter and macaroni and cheese. All rubs and sauces are made on-site. There's even homemade tea and lemonade -- as well as beers and wines --  offering up a Southern-style BBQ with a northern twist.
