The Chophouse Grille, Mahopac

What Makes It A Cut Above: Don’t let its strip mall location fool you. This simple, yet classy restaurant has been wowing customers since 2012 with its aged, hand-carved steak and chops and fresh seafood dishes such as Atlantic salmon, scallops, oysters and pan-seared Ahi tuna. It also hosts an exceptional Happy Hour with $2-off cocktails and two-for-one bottled brews.

Owners David Gallo and Toni Vulaj say their professionalism, gleaned from more than 25 years in the food-service industry, “rivals” any steakhouse found in New York City. Don’t worry, non-beef lovers; there’s plenty of poultry and pasta on the menu, too.
