Coming from a military family, Cobelli-Zizolfo has a strong respect for veterans, active service members, and first responders of all types. So whenever he can, he opens his shop for free, or discounted haircuts for various responders.
For Veteran's Day, CoZi's was offering free haircuts to all veterans or active servicemen.
"There's no one more important to me," Cobelli-Zizolfo told Daily Voice. "I'm from a military family, and the debt we owe them can never be repaid... so on Veteran's Day we do the free hair cuts. Kind of a way to say thank you."
CoZi's offers a military discount every day as well. They also have 'First Responders Tuesdays,' where active police, fire dept. or EMS members get discounts, as well as on 9/11.
"I just have a huge respect for everything they do," Cobelli-Zizolfo said. "I like to make them feel appreciated as much as possible."
CoZi's has been open two years, and specializes in classic and modern haircuts for gentlemen of all ages. Cobelli-Zizolfo also specializes in hot towel shaves, learning his trade in school in Manhattan, as well as working with barbers in Italy.
"I've spent a lot of time learning about hot shaves," Cobelli-Zizolfo said. "That's our signature. And we try to make people feel comfortable when they come in."
CoZi's Barber Shop is located at 898 South Lake Blvd. in Mahopac. For more info: www.cozisbarbershop.com, or find CoZi's on Facebook.
