CARMEL, N.Y. -- We get it. You like to eat. And you like to eat out. But dining with kids, especially young ones -- can sometimes get sticky -- in more ways than one. Kudos to the places that offer up pleasing menus for both adults and kids as well as surroundings that don’t feel like you’re dining at Mickey D’s.

Why It's Kid Worthy: For its Irish bar atmosphere and kid-friendly bar food -- think burgers, soups, salads, pasta, steak, seafood and homemade potato chips. There's also a game room and outdoor seating with a waterfall and play area where kids can run around. Monday night kids eat free with a dining adult. The kids' menu, printed on a paper placemat that the little ones can color in, includes mac and cheese. popcorn chicken and pasta.
