Austin Rogers, the "Jeopardy!" contestant who's gained celebrity for his antics and outfits, came in third among the winners in the 2017 Tournament of Champions final, which aired Friday, Nov. 17 on WABC-TV.

The Pound Ridge native and Fox Lane High School grad, who now works as a New York City bartender, started the night in second place behind Buzzy Cohen, a music executive from Los Angeles, CA and ahead of Alan Lin, a software engineer from Riverside, CA. (See earlier Daily Voice story here.)

Unfortunately, he ended up in third place as the night reached its end.

The "Final Jeopardy!" clue was: "A state capital since 1805, its name begins with the last 4 letters of the state’s name." The answer: "What is Montpelier, Vermont?"

Rogers walks away with $50,000; thakns on top of his $427,000 prior winnings. The Westchester native, who clearly charmed Host Alex Trebeck with his antics over the series of shows, said he plans to buy a 1991 W124 300TE 4MATIC Mercedes Benz and travel the globe. And maybe, probably, write a book.
