Putnam Movie Director Screens 'The Anthropologist' At Greenwich Film Fest

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Putnam County resident Jeremy Newberger of Garrison-based Ironbound Films, was among those in attendance at the opening night screening of "The Anthropologist" at the Greenwich International Film Festival (GIFF) in Greenwich, Conn. Thursday, June 9.

The documentary, which follows environmental anthropologist Susie Crate and her teenage daughter as they visit indigenous communities threatened by climate change, was directed by Newberger.

Commentary is also provided by Mary Catherine Bateson, daughter of famed anthropologist Margaret Mead. 

Singer/Songwriter Dar Williams, who was born in Mount Kisco, lends her voice to the movie's musical score. The film also features the work of Producer Graham Wright,and Actors Daniel Miller and Seth Kramer.

GIFF, now in its second year, is going on now through Sunday, June 12 throughout downtown Greenwich.
