Putnam Restaurants Open For Thanksgiving

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Looking for a Thanksgiving feast where you don't have to stress over cooking and cleaning? Putnam has a host of eateries ready -- and waiting -- to serve you.

Bob's Diner in Brewster is offering free meals for Thanksgiving.

Bob's Diner, Brewster: Talk about gratefulness. This Putnam institution is offering free Thanksgiving dinners from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. And no, that's not a typo. Guests will have the opportunity to make donations, the proceeds of which will go to a youth organization.

The Carmel Diner, Carmel: Open 24 hours a day on Thanksgiving Day. No menu specials have been announced.

Gino's Trattoria, Mahopac: While the dining room will be closed, Gino's is accepting catering orders for Thanksgiving, provided they are placed before Thanksgiving Day.

Hudson House, Cold Spring: Enjoy a hearty, yet elegant three course prix fixe meal at $42 per person from noon to 8 p.m. Reservations a must; details here. The restaurant is also offering complete meals to go; information here.

Jaipore Southeast, Brewster: Open from noon to 2:30 p.m. for lunch, which includes a special at $18 per person. Jaipore is also open for dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
