Several Dog Food Products Recalled

Hudson Valley pet owners take note: multiple brands of packages of United Pet Group rawhide dog chew products have been recalled due to possible chemical contamination.

Good 'n' Fun Healthy Hide treats and others were recently recalled by the FDA.

The company, a division of Spectrum Brands, Inc. found that certain of its rawhide chew manufacturing facilities located in Mexico and Colombia, as well as one of its suppliers in Brazil, were using a quaternary ammonium compound mixture as a processing aid in the manufacturing of rawhide chews.

Brands include:

American Beefhide
Digest-eeze
Healthy Hide (including Healthy Hide – Good -n- Fun and Healthy Hide – Good -n- Fit)
