The ACS is inviting people to become Team Captains for their upcoming 2017 Relay For Life events set for Mahopac and Patterson.
"We are looking to increase the number of teams at the Mahopac Relay For Life and the Patterson Relay For Life, and hope that people might be willing to lead their own team in the fight against cancer," Tracey Walsh of the ACS said.
"If you, or someone you love has been touched by cancer, forming a team is a rewarding and powerful way to fight back," Walsh explained.
The ACS invites anyone interested to join them at a Community Kickoff Dinner on March 23rd from 6-8 p.m. at the Putnam County Golf Course.
"We help you get started and support you as you put your team together," Walsh said. "We're suggesting that every Captain bring a team member along for support. Anyone who might be interested in forming a new team, please bring them along as well. We will have new sponsorship information, new Team Captain Guides, new fundraisers, and lots of ideas to get you ready for Relay 2017."
