KENT, N.Y. -- Friends and family of Wilma Baker gathered at the Kent Public Library on Sept. 10 to dedicate the library's children's room to her memory.
Baker helped found the Kent Literary Association, which later became the Kent Public Library. She was also a co-founder of the Kent Recycling center.
A party on Sept. 11 at the Kent Cliffs Fire House celebrated the anniversary of the Kent Recycling center and raised money for books and other materials for the new Wilma M. Baker Children's Room.
