Fiance Of Cashier Hit By Car In Carmel Wants To Make Her Birthday Special

CARMEL, N.Y. -- Marie Dunn, a Stormville mother of two who was run over in the parking lot of ShopRite in Carmel last November, will be celebrating her 50th birthday on Aug. 5.

Dunn's fiance, Henry Zetwick, is organizing a party for her with friends and family members. To make the event special, he is asking readers send birthday cards to Dunn.

She is currently residing at the Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury at 300 Grant Ave., Lake Katrine, NY, 12449.

As a result of her accident, Dunn was placed in an induced coma. She suffered a broken pelvis and head trauma. Both sides of her skull were broken, and she suffered bleeding on and in the brain.

A GoFundMe page had been launched for Dunn. So far, the Care for Marie Dunn and Children GoFundMe page has raised $2,595, but its goal is to hit $30,000.
