While winter weather was pounding the East Coast, dropping nearly a foot of snow on most of the Hudson Valley, Stella, a female hound, was spotted on the Taconic State Parkway, in the area of Pudding Street in Putnam Valley without her owners.
The “sweet old girl,” was brought in to the New York State Police barrack in Cortlandt, where she was given food, water and shelter from the elements while troopers got to work looking for her family.
Less than an hour after the search was sparked, state police happily announced that Stella had been returned to her family and was safe and sound.
