The hospital recently presented a $1,000 donation collected by the staff to the American Red Cross to assist in their hurricane relief efforts in Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico.
“It is our honor and privilege to contribute to the Red Cross and assist them with the great work they do in helping so many people affected by these devastating hurricanes,” said Dr. Michael Nesheiwat, president of the medical staff.
Representatives from the Red Cross visited Putnam Hospital Center on Oct. 30 to receive their check delivered by general surgeon Dr. Hansraj Sheth, vice president of the medical staff.
