The New York State Bridge Authority awarded a $14.7 million contract to rehabilitate the Interstate 84 bridge over Route 9W in the Town of Newburgh.

The project will affect I-84 motorists using the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge for two years.

A state contract with Castleton-based A. Servidone Inc. calls for the work to be done two lanes at a time, from south to north, and to be completed in 2020, according to the Times Herald-Record.
