92-Year-Old Man Earns Bachelor Of Arts Degree At Mount Saint Mary College

NEWBURGH, N.Y -- Alvin Mann has earned his first college degree at the age of 92 from Mount Saint Mary College, according to Time Warner Cable News.

Mann served as a merchant marine in World War II and lived in Greenwich Village during the 1960's.

In pursuing a bachelor of arts degree, he chose to study something he was very familiar with, history, and said he had a leg up over other students, according to Time Warner Cable News.

He used knowledge and first-hand experiences to relate to his classmates and is an inspiration to friends, family and fellow students, according to Time Warner Cable News.
