Auxiliary presidents Peg Lindblom and Rose McQuade delivered a $20,000 check to Putnam Hospital Center Foundation Executive Director Priscilla Weaver.

The contribution was the final installment of a $125,000 one-year pledge the auxiliary made to support the hospital’s Emergency Department.

“This gift is an amazing accomplishment by all measures,” Weaver said. “The auxiliary continues to be the strongest and most visible ambassador for Putnam Hospital Center. I, along with the many patients who benefit, am so grateful for the terrific partnership that exists between the Foundation and the PHC Auxiliary.”

Last year, the auxiliary completed a $150,000 pledge, bringing the total gift to the Emergency Department to $275,000.

“I think it’s a real accomplishment,” Lindblom said of the gift completion.

The donations come from money raised through the service of volunteers in the hospital gift shop and the Eagle Eye thrift shop in Brewster, according to a release from Putnam Hospital Center.

The Putnam Hospital Center Auxiliary was formed in 1963 and has made more than $7 million in pledge payments since its inception.
