Brewster Rallies Around Family Of Girl Who Died Of Brain Aneurysm

BREWSTER, N.Y. – A teacher at C.V. Starr Intermediate School raised enough funds to assist the family of her third-grade student, who died of a brain aneurysm on Tuesday, Sept. 16, reports LoHud.com.

Marilyn Ramirez, 8, was a student of Karen Handwerker Dakin. Dakin, with support from the community, raised $13,340 within two days to help the family with funeral expenses, according to the report.
