Brewster Theater Company Performs Script Reading At Kent Library

KENT LAKES, N.Y. -- Members of the Armchair Actors wing of Brewster Theater Company will perform a reading of “The Librarian” at Kent Public Library on Monday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m.

“The Librarian” was an episode of "Americans at Work," a CBS Radio series of documentary broadcasts. Originally aired on April 28, 1938, the series was designed to bring the human side of daily work to American audiences.

The series put together by the CBS Adult Education Board, which aired similar radio programs until 1957.

Prospective audience members can request a copy of the script and participate. Director Patricia Sebastian will assign roles before starting the performance.

There will also be short monologues by Brewster Theater Company members.
