Carmel Fire Department Holding 100th Anniversary Parade

CARMEL, N.Y. -- Downtown Carmel will be busy on Saturday when the Carmel Fire Department plans to hold a parade for its 100th anniversary.

Firefighters from across Putnam, Westchester, Dutchess and Fairfield counties are scheduled to march with their Carmel counterparts. Marchers are set to line up in the Seminary Hill Road area.

The parade is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Signage in downtown Carmel also notes that there will be a fireworks display.

Several of Carmel's yellow firetrucks are parked in a row outside of the firehouse, with large signage advertising the parade prominently display towards Route 52.
