A pocketbook bingo fundraiser raised $5,555 for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley. Guests played games of bingo where all the prizes were high-end designer handbags. After bingo, a reception featured raffles of gift baskets with even more pocketbooks and other luxury accessories.

Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions and are currently working on fulfilling almost 150 pending wishes, including eight in Putnam County.

A 13-year-old girl wants to meet singer Meghan Trainor and an 8-year-old boy wants to have a new dog as his companion.

We are so excited to have been able to help make these wishes come true for kids right here in our own community," Gail Driscoll-Silke, Ladies Auxiliary President said.
