Carmel Town Board's Suzi McDonough Hosts 'Coffee With Suzi' Listening Tour

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Carmel Town Board member Suzi McDonough recently unveiled a plan to meet as many residents as possible by hosting a “Coffee With Suzi” town-by-town listening tour.

Over the next several months, she will be hosting individual town hall meetings to listen to the specific concerns of voters throughout the district.

McDonough has launched an exploratory campaign for the 94th New York State Assembly District. The district includes portions of Westchester and Putnam counties. She will host a listening tour in each town every couple of weeks.

“I’m looking forward to kicking off this listening tour and meeting as many voters as possible," said McDonough. "As a local leader, I know that each town has its own issues and concerns, and I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and dig into the details. While I am pro-life, pro-Second Amendment and a solid fiscal conservative, I will serve as a loyal public servant to all of my constituents, and on both sides of the aisle. Putnam and Westchester families deserve a respected conservative voice in Albany to watch out for our families, our communities and our state. And if elected, I will be honored to be that voice.”

Here is the schedule for the first three events:

  • Saturday, Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m., 7 Stars Diner - 1577 Route 22, Southeast
  • Saturday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m., Somers Diner - 155 Route 202 Somers
  • Saturday, Oct. 24 from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m., Brooklyn Cafe and Organic Kitchen - 562 Route 6 Mahopac.

In June, McDonough unveiled her campaign website (www.suzi4ny.com) to personally set the framework for her exploratory campaign.

She has stuck to that theme and will continue to do so. Once she has met with the voters in each corner of the district, she will make her decision to run final.

McDonough has lived in Mahopac, a hamlet of Carmel, for more than 50 years. She graduated from Mahopac High School and a few years later married Jimmy McDonough.
