The community event will benefit the men and women who’ve served the U.S. both past and present.

It will include a barbecue picnic with free food for all military personnel and veterans, various contests and a raffle with prizes. The NYS Parks and Recreation “Wear-It” boat will be giving out free ice cream to the first 200 children they find wearing their life jackets. And Mahopac Marina will have a snack barge selling food and drinks with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the Disabled American Veterans.

Donations will be accepted throughout the day.

The highlight of the day will be a boat raft-off starting in the Mahopac Marina Cove at noon. Sheriff Donald Smith will judge the boats to determine the winner of most patriotic themed vessel decorated with red white and blue, and a trophy will be awarded to the winner.
