The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Putnam residents regarding the residency of 44-year-old Francis Williams, who has reported an address change out of Mahopac and out of state.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Williams a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Wiliams was convicted in 2000 on three counts of attempted dissemination of indecent materials to minors over the computer. He was sentenced to five years probation and is now under the jurisdiction of the California Department of Justice Sex Offender Registry.
