The Tony-winner is set to do another turn on Broadway this fall as the jaded Vicomte de Valmont in a Donmar Warehouse production of “Les Liaisons Dangereuses.”
The couple, who are not married, have two sons together -- 9-year-old Alexander and 7-year-old Samuel -- just had their stunning new Manhattan apartment showcased in “Architectural Digest.”
Schreiber and Watts told etonline.com that they were separating as a couple, but intended to continue to raise their children together as a family.
They asked for privacy for their kids’ sake, the etonline report said.
Schreiber, a California native, and Watts had been together since 2005.
They appeared on the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival recently at the premier of “The Bleeder,” a sports bio-pic in which both of them star.
According to media reports, the movie is based on the story of Bayonne boxing legend Chuck Wepner, who was known for being only the third man to knock down Muhammad Ali ... and for his boozing and womanizing.
Schreiber plays Wepner; Watts plays the former heavyweight boxer’s main girlfriend, Linda.
