Kent Volunteer Fire Dept Recognized By NYS Environmental Conservation

CARMEL, N.Y. -- The Kent Volunteer Fire Department recently was recognized by New York State’s Department of Environmental Conservation with a certificate of appreciation.

The volunteer department routinely supports the local community. It recently opened its doors to assist the DEC’s Sportsman Education Program. The certificate recognizes the department for “outstanding support of sportsman education continuing the American hunting heritage.”

KVFD Chief Justin Byrne and President Kevin Byrne received the certificate on behalf of the department.
