The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to area residents regarding 49-year-old Gordon Greco, who has moved to a residence on Lexington Avenue in Mohegan Lake.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Greco as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a predicate sex offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Greco had sexual contact with his 14-year-old victim in August 2006. He was convicted of second-degree sexual abuse in August the following year and sentenced to a term of one year in jail. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
