Mahopac Resident Charged With Punching Putnam Valley Man, Police Say

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Robert L. Davis, a 40-year-old Mahopac resident, has been charged with assault in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor, on Monday, according to  New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks.

Police said troopers were dispatched to Peekskill Hollow Road in the Town of Putnam Valley. The victim alleged that Davis arrived at his home and punched him in the face following a verbal altercation, according to police. The victim contacted 911 for assistance and the Davis fled prior to police arriving on scene, police said. The victim was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital with a facial injury, according to police.    Davis was located a short time later and charged with assault.  He was issued an Appearance Ticket ordering him to appear before the Town of Putnam Valley Court on Tuesday.
