Mahopac Woman Killed Ex-Boyfriend In Self-Defense, Police Say

MAHOPAC, N.Y. – Police say the woman who shot her ex-boyfriend to death when he broke into her Mahopac home Saturday acted in self-defense, according to News 12 Westchester.

A Mahopac woman, who was shot during an Ann Road home burglary early Saturday, wrestled the gun away from the intruder and shot him to death, according to Westchester News 12.

The 50-year-old woman’s 47-year-old ex-boyfriend broke into her Ann Road home, Daily Voice previously reported.

The woman struggled to get the gun away from her ex-boyfriend, and was shot in the leg in the process, according to News 12.

A tenant living in the basement had also called 911 to report that the man was illegally entering the residence while brandishing a firearm, News 12 reported.
