New Resale Store Helps Yorktown Cancer-Support Group

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Support Connection, a Yorktown Heights-based group that provides comfort to cancer patients and survivors, announced that it will receive proceeds from a new resale store in Chappaqua.

The upscale store, which is called Fantastic Finds, opened at 400 King St., which is the former location of Discovery Shop.

"All proceeds from sales at the shop will benefit Support Connection’s free, year-round breast and ovarian cancer support services," the group noted in its announcement.

The group notes that Fantastic Finds, which is staffed by volunteer,s accepts donated items such as clothing for men and women; accessories like scarves and handbags; jewelry; musical instruments; and household items such as furniture, appliances and china.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for Support Connection," Katherine Quinn, the group's executive director, said in a statement. "The need for our free counseling and other support services for those living with breast and ovarian cancer grows every year. We are grateful to have a new way to raise funds to meet this ever-increasing need.”

Fantastic Finds is open from Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
