Patterson's Thunder Ridge Faces Questionable Future

PATTERSON, N.Y. -- The longtime owners of the Thunder Ridge Ski area have said negotiations over the future of the business have come to a standstill, according to LoHud.com.

Thunder Ridge is the only ski area in Westchester, Rockland or Putnam counties and has been in operation since the 1950s. Mary Conklin has been the owner since 1995. She said she is in negotiations with Putnam County National Bank, who Conklin leases the property from, over business operations and equipment, LoHud.com reported.
