  • Power was finally restored after a three-day outage at Mahopac High School. Three cables that connected the school to a  New York State Electric and Gas pole needed repair, Schools Superintendent Brian Monahan said.
  • New York State Police warned Putnam County residents of a new phone scam.
  •  An autopsy was conducted on a Lake Carmel woman who died after being found unconscious near her home.
  • A neighbor of a developmentally disabled woman who was found dead near home set up an online fundraiser in an effort to help pay for funeral costs.
