PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- An unusually early snowstorm came to Putnam County on Wednesday just one day before Thanksgiving.

The area became blanketed in snow, although by evening the precipitation resembled a mix including rain.

In downtown Carmel, the landscape has been transformed, with a mix of white and gray being visible. Local landmarks, such as Lake Gleneida and the Sybil Luddington statue, are notable examples of this change.
