Family Day was launched in 2001 by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse to promote parental engagement as a way to limit substance use.

The campaign promotes the importance of family dinners, and how dinner together five to seven times per week can help limit substance abuse down the line thanks to open communication with your child.
