On Monday, July 17, the road will be closed beginning at 8 a.m.at the intersection in preparation for the work to be performed on Tuesday, July 18.

In addition, water service will be turned off Tuesday to area residents for least eight hours, said VRI Environmental Services.

When the water system is back in service, residents may experience air in the system along with discoloration of the water. Residents are warned to refrain from doing laundry for at least 24 hours after the repair is completed.

They are also asked to run cold water from all sinks and faucets in their house until the water clears and there is no more air in the system.
