Rollover Crash Results In East Lake Boulevard Closure In Mahopac

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Shortly after a head-on collision on Route 6 near the Mahopac Library, emergency responders rushed to the scene of a rollover crash nearby on East Lake Boulevard that resulted in one injury and damage to a utility pole late Sunday morning, authorities said.

Fire, rescue and Fire Police, along with a Mutual Aid ambulance from Mahopac Falls and multiple Carmel Police units converged on the scene of the 10:15 a.m. crash, which led to the closure of the boulevard at North Lake Blvd. and Route 6.

The driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene before being transported to the hospital for follow up, according to authorities.

Verizon was notified of the accident because of the damage to the pole.
