A registered sex offender sentenced for attempted rape of a 13-year-old girl has changed addresses from Poughkeepsie to Ossining.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester County residents regarding the residency of 65-year-old Charles Blades, who has moved from Poughkeepsie to an apartment on main Street in Ossining.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Blades as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Blades had sexual intercourse with his 13-year-old victim - who was a stranger to him - in February 1998. He was arrested by the Ossining Village Police Department and sentenced to five years probation in August 1999.

Further info on Blades from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
