SOMERS, N.Y. -- Somers Girls Scouts Troop 1460 has been working hard to make sure that animals at the Putnam Humane Society have enough food, blankets and toys.
Somers Girl Scout Troop 1460 collected more than a ton's worth of food, toys and blankets for the animals at the Putnam Humane Society.
Photo Credit: Putnam Humane Society/FacebookThe troop selected the shelter to be the recipient of the Bronze Award, which means the facility received more than a ton of supplies for the dogs and cats housed there.
The girls received the supplies through donations and by raising funds for the shelter.
